Meet M stands for
M Emilia Jaramillo
She is a creative director working in a series of multidisciplinary
projects based in Ecuador and Latin America.
M works as an integrative designer in a variety of mediums such as; creative direction, production design, concept & research development, set design, and urban planning.
M’s emphasis is commercial and creative direction for both national and international clients. Across these interconnected artistic disciplines, she explores the power of visual communication translated through concepts, forms, colours textures and other visual aspects which give a force in communicating an idea.
After completing a BA in Liberal Arts & Communication and diverging into Urban design, M obtained an MSc at The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, UCL London, which she currently uses as one of the focuses. Her experience in urban planning has been heavily centred in the municipal and public sector of Quito - Ecuador, giving her a key perspective that influences her work not only in the urban field, but also translates into other mediums.
M’s relationship to music has allowed her to collaborate with a variety of artists in visual representations for their projects; weather its albums, music videos, or photographical material.
M seeks a sense of cohesion, expressiveness, beauty and a conversation between art and psyche.
